Intro to new sermon series

God’s Justice

Hannah Baylor reminds us of God’s promise of justice, using the story of David and Bathsheba found in 2 Samuel chapter 11. Speaking from the heart she refers to her doctoral thesis and extended theological study to speak on this difficult passage.

TRIGGER ALERT: sexual abuse, abuse of leadership/power and cultures of victim-shaming are mentioned in this sermon, as are recent allegations against a well known Christian leader.

Those listening in person were reminded of safeguarding provisions and also signposted for pastoral care. Those listening online can access similar information here: https://www.churchofengland.org/safeguarding

God’s generosity

David Baylor shares how we can respond to God’s generosity in our lives and relates this to our service where 5 people were baptised.

Telling my story

God Looks at the Heart

Alex St Ledger-Renfree reflects on 1 Samuel chapter 16 and reminds us that God looks at our heart and not our outward appearance, He knows who we are and what we can be, nothing is hidden from Him.
