Story so far

We are part of a big and bold vision, Transforming Mission, to find fresh, authentic and creative ways of being and doing church in Cornwall. We long to see God’s kingdom worked out in Falmouth and beyond so that many people unconnected with faith and church might come to know the good news of Jesus.

Since 2019

New Street Church started small in January 2019 and we quickly outgrew our home at King Charles Church Hall on New Street. We now meet at All Saints Church on Killigrew Street and have been warmly welcomed by the morning congregation there.

Our Falmouth Journey

We’re a relaxed and friendly community of all ages and backgrounds. We meet as a big group at 4pm on Sundays and in smaller groups during the week. We are all about genuine community, contemporary worship, practical teaching and warm hospitality. We try to live out our faith in ways that will bless our local community.

As a new church we’re learning and growing all the time. We’ve got a great God, brilliant people, good links with the community and big heart for Falmouth – and there’s plenty of room for you too!

We are the first of five centres launched by the Transforming Mission into Cornish towns – exciting times!

What’s our vision?

What is Transforming Mission?

Through Transforming Mission (TM) the Diocese of Truro is developing a model for the renewal of Anglican Church life across our communities. The Transforming Mission started in Falmouth and is now being adapted and replicated across many other towns in Cornwall, with the aim of creating thriving church communities that attract and support all ages. TM has at its heart a desire to spill out of its own walls to proclaim good news, serve its community, to resource and bless other churches and to be the catalyst for growth in discipleship, evangelism and community-building.
