In today’s All In service, one of our curates, David, refers to the story of Jesus’ baptism as told in Luke 3:15-22.  He reminds us that in baptism, we are welcomed into God’s family. Jesus’ baptism gives us an insight into what that means on both a human and divine level. 

As we start the new year and license Geoff Davis for new ministry in Falmouth, Bishop Hugh refers to Matthew chapter 2 to share his thoughts about the 5 seeds that are offered to us to bear fruit in our lives.

Christmas: we know the readings, we know the songs and we hear again and afresh the invitation to know the God they point to, the God’s who’s come to us.

Hannah, one of our curates, reminds us that we can only worship God because He first came down. We can only know who it is we worship as He revealed himself in and through Jesus.

Sophie reminds us of the kind of worship God loves and desires from us. Its not just about the songs we sing on a Sunday, it’s worship that is so wholehearted that it makes a difference, every day, as we seek to live and act and love with His heart, moved and equipped by His Spirit. That we’re joining in with His work of bringing transformation and grace into the spaces and places where we go.
