WALKING BACKWARDS TO EASTER: PRAYER

Our new sermon series continues this week and Simon will be speaking on Jesus’ prayer in John 17.

WALKING BACKWARDS TO EASTER: POLITICS

Our new sermon series begins this week and we’re going to walk backwards from the cross to Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem.

Why backwards? Well, what happens if you know the ending before you begin the journey? Would you interpret events and their significance in a different way?

We’re going to look at five significant events that lead up to Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection. We’ll interpret them in the shadow of the cross and in the the light of the empty tomb. Alongside this we’ll be using the Sunday zooms to develop the ideas from the sermon and apply them to our lives. Look out for more news on our lent resources too. Our hope is that as we arrive at Easter Weekend we’ll be ready to celebrate the mighty, wonderful, glorious Saviour we have in Jesus! This week Ben Morgan Lundie will be kicking us off with the theme ‘Politics’.

VISION: RENEWING CHURCH PART 2

This Sunday’s sermon draws our Vision Series to a close as we think about Renewing Church Part II. We hear from Bill about how New Street fits into the wider vision of ‘Transforming Mission’.

VISION: RENEWING CHURCH

VISION: RESTORING LIVES

This Sunday we’re exploring the second part of our church Vision when Sophie will be sharing on ‘Restoring Lives’. We’ll also have an update from Nathanael Edwards about the work of Life Support in Zambia.
