Story so far

We have a big and bold vision to find fresh, authentic and creative ways of being and doing church in Cornwall. We long to see God’s kingdom worked out in Falmouth and beyond so that many people unconnected with faith and church might come to know the good news of Jesus.

New Lead Minister

We’re absolutely delighted to share that The Revd Jacob Tyers is now with us as our Lead Minister at New Street, Falmouth, and we couldn’t be more excited about this new chapter in the life of our church.

Jacob has arrived in Falmouth with his wife Ellie and their young daughter Cleo, and it’s been a real joy to welcome the whole family into the heart of our church community. Jacob comes to us from St Wilfrid’s, Wilford in the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, where he served as Assistant Curate before completing his curacy.

We’re so thankful for all that God has already been doing and are full of hope and expectation for what lies ahead as we step into this new season together with Jacob leading the way.

Our Falmouth Journey

New Street Church started small in January 2019 and we now meet at All Saints Church on Killigrew Street. We’re a relaxed and friendly community of all ages and backgrounds. We meet as a big group at 4pm on Sundays and in smaller groups during the week. We are all about genuine community, contemporary worship, practical teaching and warm hospitality. We try to live out our faith in ways that will bless our local community.

As a young church we’re learning and growing all the time. We’ve got a great God, brilliant people, good links with the community and big heart for Falmouth – and there’s plenty of room for you too.

Who We Are

New Street is a warm and vibrant Church of England congregation in the vibrant and beautiful Cornish town of Falmouth. We seek to cultivate a community that feels like family and that many can call home. Our Sunday gatherings are a highlight of our week: they are anchored in prayer and worship, guided by the Bible and the Holy Spirit, and inspire our mission to serve and bless others. We come from a range of ages and backgrounds, united by our passion for enabling younger generations to encounter God and witnessing his love transform lives and communities.

What’s our vision?
