Praying the Psalms

Journey with us through the Psalms as we unpack these ancient prayers that were spoken by Israel, echoed by the early church, and remain vital for us today. The people who came before us struggled with fear, anxiety, and the distractions of daily life, just as we do. Yet, they discovered in prayer a way into the mystery, wonder, and presence of God. The Psalms can teach us how to pray, guiding us into deeper communion with Him.

God is with us – now

Archdeacon Clive shares some of his testimony of how God speaks to us and relates his testimony to the messianic psalm 22 and helps us understand not just the first meaning from King David’s perspective but the second meaning of the psalm, from Jesus’ perspective. Clive reminds us that God is with us, and in control… now.

Confession and Forgiveness

Charles takes us through Psalm 51, reminding us of the context of David’s life surrounding the psalm and then links it to psalm 32 reassuring us of God’s forgiveness, He will accept us, He is a God of grace, a God of of compassion, a God of everlasting love.

In the Nick of Time

Geoff Davis takes us through Psalm 107 and reminds us that if we trust in Him, He will be there for us in the nick of time.

God with us

Arhdeacon Clive explores and leads us through Psalm 23 praying for God’s kingdom to come, as we speak, and listen, and speak, and listen to the heart of God through the psalms.

Where do I start?

Charles introduces this new series explaining the ancient spiritual exercise of ‘praying the psalms’ – they are a great way of both praising God and crying out to Him in all the challenges of life.
