In this passage, Mark 7.1-23, Jesus  firstly exposes the idolatry and hypocrisy of the religious leaders with their emphasis on man made rules and secondly their failure to understand the real problem – the human heart.

Bishop Hugh shares his thoughts on Mark chapter 5, and reminds us that Jesus is the centre of everything, that whatever is going on in our lives, we are safe, we are secure, we live in the overlap between Heaven and Earth, where Jesus dwells and where fear is not necessary.

Charles shares his thoughts on Mark chapters 1 – 3 as Jesus brings something new in His day, challenging us to think through Jesus’ confrontation with evil spirits, His demonstration of driving evil spirits out, His explanation of what He was doing plus the application for today as we seek to carry out God’s will in our lives and bring God’s kingdom to bear.

Charles takes us through the second part of Mark chapter 1 and reminds us that the Kingdom of God is near, and encourages us to follow Jesus with our all.
